Yes, I know I posted on my last blog that my goal was to be on track with updates by Xmas – however that goal may soon become ‘by the New Year.’ The
last few months has been non-stop for our family. First, my dad unexpectedly passed away 2 weeks before my
husband came home from deployment. While I was mixed between emotions of grieving and preparing for a homecoming, we found out we were pregnant and found out on the same day my husband feet hit US soil. Needless to say October was spent
wrapped up with excitement of the pregnancy, re-learn how to cohabitate with my husband, as well as deal with my dad's memorial. All that as well as finding a day to squeeze in a 600+ mile round-trip car ride to get our 1st
U/S with Dr. Sher! Skipping to the end of October we packed up again to head to Children's
Hospital for our son to have a major surgery. Everything turned out great until the day we got
released from the hospital. On our way him we got a phone call informing us my FIL had terminal cancer! OH BOY! Got home only to re-pack up and fly last minute, out of state, to say our goodbyes ... which difficult beyond words.
The little man and I got home just in time to get slammed with Thanksgiving only to hear 2 days later from dad that grandpa passed away. It was an emotionally exhausting November. We picked dad up from the airport a few days ago and then
made a 450+ mile road trip home! We have only spent 1 week. out of the last 5, at home and now that we back home we are trying
to keep our head afloat as we try to wade thru everything that was pushed onto
the back burner while we were busy dealing with everything else! I am just hoping I can get Xmas
decorations up before Xmas is over – because right now it looks like every closet
in this house threw up in the family room and laundry room. You would think we live in a house of 30
people, not 3!
Here is our little wiggle worm at 10w3d … measuring 11weeks on the nose. He takes after daddy on that. Unfortunately we didn't get a very good profile picture, little wiggle worm is stubborn and likes to show of her back side. But that sounds like a similar story I got to here for years, from my mother! (and yes I did notice I said 'he' and 'she') You will probably see that for awhile, we don't plan on announcing until February-ish ... so stay tuned :)
I have 2 different videos that I am trying to figure out how to share, but not sure how to blur our the information on the u/s screen :( One is of the baby dancing up a storm - a wiggle worm through and through. And another is of the doctor going over a still shot of the video and pointing out all the features of baby. If anyone knows how I can zoom in on a pre-record video on the iPhone, or how to crop it after uploading, let me know and i'll try to figure it out so I can post them!!
