Double Trouble?? or a Sassy Singleton?

BABIES @ 3w5d
Once again its has been long over due for an update.  Things have been a little crazy for us the last month and our family is more than ready for this year to be over – it has been a long and hard one!  My dad passed away in September, I barely had time to deal with that before getting ready for Jim to arrive home.  A few weeks after he got home and we attended my dads celebration of life, then packed up and took our little man in for yet another major surgery to have his final procedure at closing up his palate (he was born with a cleft lip & cleft palate).  The night we were discharged from the hospital we received a call informing us that my Father In Law was dealing with terminal cancer.  We have been home from the surgery for less than a week and now packing up to leave tomorrow for a trip out of state to go see Grandpa.  I feel like we are living out of a suitcase.  Between November and the New Year we will have been physically in our house for 3 weeks out of 9 weeks.  I am hoping 2014 brings us a little less craziness - or at least a little time to get settled into 2014.

I am still behind a few weeks on updates but will hopefully be caught up by xmas – but no promises!

We had our 1st US (ultrasound) a little over 3 weeks ago.  I love our clinic and the staff, they are by far the best and absolutely amazing, but let me tell you the drive sucks.  Nothing like making a road trip over 600 miles for an appointment that only last 15 minutes at most, but we had a great appointment and some killer food for dinner (thank you Groupon) so that helped make up for a little bit of it.

I think we all felt a little like sardines during the appointment, *everyone* packed into one of the smaller examine rooms they have; the doctor, 2 nurses and the 4 of us.  Let me tell you 7 people in a tiny doctors office is not the most comfortable thing, but it worked.  Thankfully they didn’t keep us waiting too long, as I think everyone was on pins and needles waiting to see what was brewing.  He actually pushed the 3 o'clock appointment out so they could get us done first ... and I wasn't complaining!!

The US showed one little baby … so for those of you that guessed twins, sorry looks like you were off!  Baby had a great heartbeat of 142 and was measuring on time (just 1 day behind) at 7weeks exactly.
